CURRENTLY THIS SITE IS RECORDING A LIVE RELAY ATTEMPT ON THE MUNROS BY A SCOTTISH VETERAN WOMEN'S TEAM STARTING ON THE WEEKEND OF JUNE 4th

This is being updated on Facebook and the intention is to put that material on this site as soon as possible. In the following weeks the accounts can be tidied up to create a lasting record.

This is an account of the twice that the Munros have been run in a continuous 7 man relay format  and is also a space for any future Munro relays whatever the format. A veteran ladies team completed in 2022.

I hope that other modern teams attempting a Munro relay in whatever format will see fit to add their account to this page.

The accounts have been compiled by Eddie Harwood and all text in black is written by him. Team members have written sections relevant to themselves and all these sections are in a different colour (one for each runner).

The first relay took place in 1990 and was run in aid of The Association for International Cancer Research, now called Worldwide Cancer Research

The second relay took place in 1993 and was run in aid of the Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB).

The 2022 ladies relay is run in aid of Free to Run

A veteran ladies team has completed a relay by their own rules in 2022.

These accounts will be free for anyone to access but in lieu of a fee please consider giving donations to these charities as you see fit.
