VWMR Ben Wyvis to Achnasheen
Some amazing performances were going on while I changed my lycra and we headed round from Ben Klibreck to Ben Wyvis. For some reason I woke up early and checked my phone for the dot position.
I quickly realised that the cycle has been changed and the runner, Susan Blackwell, was on top of Ben Wyvis and moving swiftly. Time to don the lycra and face the midges. Katy Boocock was waiting at the end for Susan. Locked up in a car out of the swarming midges seemed sensible. I cycled around the car park to avoid being swarmed.
Susan and I had a quick transition, the squirrel was secured and i set off in the saddle again, towards Achnasheen. I was treated to another glorious morning and had time to reflect how much I was enjoying being part of the amazing team. Before long I saw Sue ready at the side of the road.
She was off for a sole run, taking the squirrel up Fionn Bheinn.
Lawr and I did some car, van dog moves for the team before we left for home and work. I thought that was the last of my involvement in the VWMR, until one morning at work when I got a phone call from Vicky, which lead to Cherry and I hooking up to do....(leg 67)
